Growth was also supported by the continued policy measures. The imposition of the Second Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0) and the continued closure of international borders and restrictions on inter-state travel, however, weighed on economic activity. SDMC: Aidilfitri visits by close family members only allowed on first day of celebration SARAWAK The Aidilfitri open house for close family members in Sarawak has been reduced to one day. – Bernama file photo KUCHING (May 11): The number of days allowed for Hari Raya Aidilfitri visits by close family members have been shortened further to only the first day of the celebration, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said. The committee said in its Covid-19 daily update that the decision was made to limit the celebrations to only one day after taking into account the current pandemic situation in the state. “The Sarawak Islamic Council has agreed to amend its standard operating procedures (SOP) for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, which is, open house visits will be allowed only on the first day and for close family members,” said SDMC.
